REDUCING CRIME AND ITS COSTS
Oregon corrections is one of the biggest sponges for spending. This can be corrected if the legislators are willing to develop proven principles to increase safety for citizens and at the same time cut costs. About 67% of those in prison are non-violent offenders. Combine the release of most of these folks with developing effective treatment in prison before offenders are released. This will GREATLY reduce crime re-offenses, re-incarcerating, and victims. Legislators must stop the building of prisons and thinking the same ways that bring the present results. The proven principles I refer to are found by emailing me at neil.s@charter.net . YES WE CAN!
